This Privacy Policy explains how Friends of Mark Bradley for Probate ("the Campaign," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit www.markbradleyforprobatejudge.com (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us, including through our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram).
 

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
 

1. Who We Are
 

The Campaign is a political committee organized to support the election of Mark Bradley to Probate Judge, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Contact information for the Campaign is provided in Section 9 below.
 

2. Information We Collect
 

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you provide directly, such as when you: (a) Sign up for email or text updates; (b) Make a donation; (c) Fill out a contact form; (d) Volunteer or request a yard sign; and (e) Contact us by phone, email, or mail. This may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and — if you donate — payment and employer/occupation information as required by campaign finance law.

Information collected automatically, such as: (a) IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system; (b) Pages visited, time on site, and referring/exit pages; and (c) Approximate geographic location (derived from IP address)

Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, which allows us to: (a) Measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram; (b) Build audiences for future advertising (including retargeting visitors to this Site); and (c) Understand how visitors interact with our Site
 

3. How We Use Your Information
 

We use the information we collect to: (a) Communicate with you about the campaign, events, and volunteer opportunities; (b) Process and record donations in compliance with Connecticut and federal campaign finance law; (c) Measure and improve the performance of our advertising, including ads run through Meta; (d) Build custom and lookalike audiences on Meta platforms for advertising purposes; (e) Comply with legal and regulatory reporting obligations (e.g., disclosure of donor information as required by law); and (f) Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site
 

4. Sharing of Information
 

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information: (a) With vendors and service providers who help us operate the Site, process donations, or manage advertising (e.g., [donation processor name, e.g., Anedot/ActBlue], email service providers, Meta); (b) With Meta, in connection with pixel-based advertising and audience-building, subject to Meta's own data policies; (c) As required by law, including campaign finance disclosure requirements, which may make certain donor information (such as name, address, employer, and occupation) part of the public record; and (d) With election officials or regulators as required by applicable law

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (including the Meta Pixel) to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and measure advertising performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality. Where required by law, we will provide a mechanism for you to consent to or decline non-essential cookies.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: (a) Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you; (b) Opt out of email or text communications at any time (e.g., via the "unsubscribe" link in our emails or by replying "STOP" to texts); (c) Opt out of the use of your information for certain advertising purposes.
 

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9. Note that certain donor information may be required by law to remain part of the public campaign finance record and cannot be deleted.
 

7. Data Retention
 

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including as required by campaign finance recordkeeping and reporting obligations, and then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
 

8. Children's Privacy
 

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
